Professional Zumba
instructor, Dr. Dina Martin-Rusk has been a
chiropractor for 14 years. She began dancing at age
4, in various types of dance. She was a dance
director and choreographer for competitive dance
groups, as well as being an award winning
performer. A fitness enthusiast for many years, she
was involved in body building and trained two
competitive body builders for competition. As a
competitive cyclist, her experience in cycling
eventually lead to becoming a spin instructor for 10
years at various health clubs, including LNRC. In
seeking a new form of exercise that was a little
more forgiving to the body, she came across Zumba.
Her knowledge of the human body and experience as an
athlete helps her to have a greater understanding of
how the different movements of Zumba benefit the
body. In her practice, she utilizes various
techniques, as well as clinical nutrition and
rehabilitative exercises to help bring balance and
health into her patient’s lives. She has taken
seminars in Fitness for the Middle Aged Woman,
Healing Golf Injuries, Core Stabilization and many
more. Dina was born and raised in Southern
California and love dancing, mountain biking, and
spinning intensely. She loves fitness, hiking,
being in the wilderness, fine dining and wine
tasting. She loves being a mom. |

PERIZAD
Belly
Dance Artist
Perizad is a
belly dance artist located in Trabuco Canyon,
California. She been dancing professionally since
2001 and currently teaches belly dance classes in
Laguna Niguel and Garden Grove. She is the featured
dancer at Sophia's Greek Cuisine in Placentia and is
a member of "The Jewels that Raq", Orange County's
Premier Belly dance group.

Jennifer has been
part of the Health Fitness Industry since the age of
15. She has experienced, learned and practiced
different modalities of teaching in the
Mind-Body-Health field and reinforces that in order
for our bodies to be whole and complete, it must be
healthy - physically, mentally, emotionally and
spiritually. To encompass an overall healthy state
of well-being, it is good to practice some form of
yoga, meditation, and healing. She believes the
body is capable of healing itself and we are given
tools to make this possible. Jennifer personally
practices Pilates and a pranayama breathing
meditation to stay healthy on all levels. She is a
Certified Integrative Breathwork Practitioner and
Mind*Body*Health Coach. If you would

Veena Grover
Yoga Instructor
Veena Grover is a certified yoga
instructor through Ananda Yoga Teacher Training
(AYTT), a second degree black belt and a
certified Teakwood Instructor. She has been
volunteered for various organizations, which
include: Volunteer in Police Support
(VIPS), Co-Director for the Monarch Beach
Rotary Club in 2001, Project Together – a mentor
for the youth, San Juan Capistrano Community
Center, where she taught yoga to seniors, and
many more. Recently, she received a Cambridge
Who's Who Award 2009-2010. Veena has taught
adults, children and families, both in classes
and privately. She is a regular practitioner of
yoga & meditation, which has helped her find
strength, balance and total well-being. Her
particular teaching interest lies in encouraging
students to explore their own authentic
experience of the postures in order to deepen
their practice. Veena is the wife of Sarv
Grover, M.D. They have been members of Laguna
Niguel Racquet Club since 1989 and have three
children, Neel, Sanjay and Vinit and
five grandchildren.
With God's Grace, her grandchildren are
following her very religiously & maintaining
their Inner Peace.

Trainer Troy
Yoga Instructor
Troy is working
on his Masters Degree in Yogic Studies. He teaches a
wide variety of styles including Stress Reduction
Yoga., Amrit Yoga and integrating techniques with
experiencing the posture from the inside out leading
to a more complete experience. His classes are
open to all levels.

Judy Garmen
Yoga Instructor
Judith has practiced Yoga for over 20
years and recently relocated to the area. In 2007
she was trained and certified by the Yoga Alliance
to teach Yoga. She has 3 years of teaching
experience both with private and group Yoga Classes.
Judy teaches Hatha, Iyengar, flow, power, Yin and
Nidra. She has continued to gain knowledge in many
styles of Yoga through workshops with experts such
as Tias Little, James Oleary, and others. Off the
mat, Judy loves to play tennis, loves zumba, hiking,
walking, and believes in the importance of cross
training because all activities complement each
other. |

Suzanne is a
strong believer in the long-term health benefits of
activity and fitness training. Her background

She has been
personally involved in the instruction and design of
group fitness classes for 13 years. Suzanne strives
to provide a fun, innovative and safe approach to
motivating and helping others achieve their Fitness
goals. Through education and fitness instruction, it
is her personal goal to reach out to as many people
as possible, to spread the “good word” of Fitness.

Isabel currently
teaches at LNRC and Pulse Fitness. She enjoys
motivating and teaching others about health and
fitness, as it is rewarding to see people get
results. She am married to a United States
marine and have two children, Crystal 11 and Noah 6
years old. Isabel also works part-time for Dr.
Roger Cullen D.D.S. in Mission Viejo . She loves to
exercise and through this, is glad that she can
encourage others to do it with her. |

Warren Wong

Instructor
Warren Wong loves to teach spin
classes and enjoys playing retro music from the 70s
and 80s, combined with some new tunes for eclectic
rides. He is also a certified teaching tennis
professional, coaching kids and adults and
occasionally playing in some LNRC tennis mixers.

Stewart Birchenall

Instructor
With me, what you see is what you get. I'm a
regular guy with a passion for fitness, cooking
and all things outdoors. Trained originally as a
N.A.U.I. SCUBA instructor, I moved on to
graduate from Culinary School in Colorado and
Laguna Beach, and have added further to my
resume with teaching spin for the past 4 years,
two years now at LNRC.

Holly Briscoe
Spin/Pilates Instructor
Holly grew up in Laguna Beach. The
warm weather and sunshine were the perfect setting
for Holly’s high energy and active lifestyle. Early
in her life Holly competed in gymnastics, swimming
and diving. Always striving to have the competitive
edge Holly began teaching aerobics right out of high
school. Since then it’s been a non-stop life choice.
Holly is an AFAA certified fitness instructor who
specializes in Spinning, Body Sculpt and Pilates.
When Holly is not in the gym, you will find her on
the tennis court competing locally in both USTA and
PACSUN tennis leagues.
For women in her age group, Holly placed 2nd two
years in a row at the Annual Camp Pendleton Marine
Corps Mud Run in 2008 and 2009, with a 3rd place
finish in 2010. |
